Does catcher Joe Mauer have a career ending "Guillain–Barré syndrome"?

Yeah his legs hurt, but I've heard that he's also very sick with the flu. This will start another "get Mauer to another position" petition like Nate mentioned, but Mauer will stay catcher for now. I feel like the infield is thin but I for one think Cuddyer should play infield as it increases his batting production. Plus Butera isn't quite ready yet.
