How am i progressing as a guitar player?

ive beeen playing it for about 1 1/2 -2 months i can play open chords and barre chords and minor and mayjor scales. i almost switch chords freely and have no trouble slidinge down or up the fretboard when it comes to barre chords. i just signed up for lessons . what do i tell the guy in terms of what i know and do i have to read sheet music?
